Ben Novak, born in 1943 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, attended Penn State where he served as president of the Undergraduate Student Government, graduating in 1965. He also graduated from Georgetown University Law School in 1968. He served one year in Vietnam, and returned to found the law firm Novak, Stover and McCarty (later Novak, Stover, and Furst), of State College. George H. Deike was born on July 24, 1879 in Brooklyn, NY. Graduating from Pennsylvania State College in 1903, he became president of the Penn State Alumni Association from 1922 to 1924. He was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 1925, became vice president of the board in 1947, president in 1956, and president emeritus in 1958. He served the Board until his death on July 16, 1963.
